The New "It" Sport: Pickleball

YOUR NEW OBSESSION

You've likely heard of this odd-sounding sport by now, either through an obsessed friend or die-hard co-worker. The hype is real. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. Ready to try it out and find out why? Disclaimer: you'll get hooked!

PICKLEBALL IN A NUTSHELL

Pickleball is a racquet sport that was made popular in 1965 by Congressman Joel Pritchard, whose kids invented the game at their house on Bainbridge island when they couldn't find badminton equipment. Today, this social sport has far surpassed its humble origins, with official rules, and leagues throughout the continent!

The sport is played with oversized paddles and large wiffleball on a badminton court with a lowered net (similar to tennis). It can be played as doubles or as singles (for an even more intense workout!).
