Club Info & History

The Club was founded in July 1926 by a distinguished group of Westmount businessmen who were interested in providing badminton and squash facilities for residents of Montreal.

Over the years, the club has gone through major renovations. Most recently in 2001, virtually every interior area received a facelift.

Club Atwater, now in its 81st season, still provides its members with badminton, squash & tennis courts as well as a fitness area, pro shop & children's daycare.

The club has 6 banquet & meeting rooms available to the public. We can accommodate groups varying from 6 to 250 people.

Our 5000 bottle wine cellar boasts an extensive new list with everything from first growth Bordeaux to very affordable wines from Australia, Chili & Italy.

The club has equipment to use for multimedia presentations such as: projector, video screen, flip charts, podium & microphone system.

Club Atwater has become a popular venue for corporate dining & meeting as well as weddings & social events.
